How did you integrate technologies hardware and online in this project?
The preproduction for our video was very brief, we filmed several videos of our actor Jacob singing the song to practice different shots seeing which looked good, this was all done using an Iphone. We didn't edit these as the main reason for the test video was to give our actor more confidence. We then used youtube which is an online platform used for sharing videos, and uploaded the video to this online platform. When communicating to organise rehearsals we used online software such as whatsapp and snapchat

We filmed our music video using a Black Magic mini URSA- this hardware had removable lenses which allowed us to switch from 18mm, 21mm, 25mm, 35mm , 50mm, 85mm. 18mm being a very wide shot and 85mm being a close up. This is far better quality than using zoom lenses. We used a vary of different shots however we predominately used 35mm and 50mm lenses as these are long and mid shots which were perfect for our video as we wanted to include the extras and the backing band in a range of different shots. We also took lots of close ups to make it clear who our artist is. We also shot lots of handheld shots, this gave the video a raw and organic feel which is what is represented throughout our video.

When we edited the video we used adobe premiere pro, this is software which doesn't require internet. We tunned all of the colours down on the video in premier pro and then turned the orange lighting up, this gave a certain washed out vintage look which was perfect for our video. We also used rhythmic editing to match the speed of the song, as the song varies heavily in speed.
